July 21-31 Rainfall

The month ended fairly wet and most locations are going to end up with above average rainfall for the month of July.  The greatest precipitation was centered over portions of Logan and Canadian counties where many places saw over two inches of rain over the last 10 days of the month, and in once case, over five inches!

July 11-20 Rainfall

July is well on its way to being above average with regard to rainfall.  Most of the precipitation during the middle part of the month fell from the 14th into the 15th, when several locations saw over two inches of rain.   The heaviest rain occurred across portions of Kingfisher, Canadian and Blaine counties.

Thunder record

Thunder was heard in Okarche on July 30th.  This was the 13th day of the month that thunder was recorded – becoming the new record for July.  The previous record was 12 days set in 1996 and again in 2013.
