May 27th was a very active day for severe weather in Oklahoma. Over the past couple of years, I have been keeping track of the number of severe events which occur during a calendar day across the state. The 132 total events is the most in 2016 or 2017.
We chased a supercell storm that tracked from northeast New Mexico to the northern Texas Panhandle. The storm just clipped the southwest corner of the Oklahoma Panhandle.
