I was still trying to figure out this storm chasing game when this day arrived.  Well, I guess I’m still trying to figure it out over 20 years later, but this was during the first part of my solo chasing.  Supercell storms across Central Oklahoma were moving to the south with forward flank meso-cyclones.  I hung with one that moved out of Kingfisher County into Canadian County – doing my best not to be crushed with reported very large hail.

A weak tornado eventually formed near Concho.  It wasn’t much, but I did have time to get out my camera and capture a couple of photos.  After making a short move down the road, I came across and said hi to Chuck Doswell, who’s only response was, “Did you see it?”  As a young chaser, landing in the same spot as Chuck helped me believe I was doing something right.
